Hi Jeff. This machine was in a storage room at a community college site that had been abandoned because it was built on an old dumpsite. We were shooting an independent horror film there. The site has since been cleaned up and is an off-campus facility for the University of Ottawa. Some of the labs had literally been left as they were in the late '70s. The props guys figured this device was some sort of polygraph machine, but I'm not so sure. They were pretty keen to load it up into their truck at the end of the shoot, but that would be theft. Who knows what happened to all this cool gear. The old CRT oscilloscopes in the electronics labs were pretty tempting.

Funny... some kind of instrumentation chart recorder? I like the little add on extra pot to the left of the second unit down, extra inputs for that big scene?
