My idea was to demonstrate the way the four most basic mics used in video production sound in a real environment. I explain what's going on and you can hear it as I talk about it.
I could write pages and pages about it and still not be as effective…
That's a pretty neat mic; with all the directionality and EQ. As with most ribbons, not too much on the top end. I haven't tried it as a room mic yet. Something new to try.
Thanks for finding this and joining up. As you may have guessed, I am experimenting again with Internet stuff, this time on the model of social networking --- maybe it can be thought of as Facebook for sound people or something. Anyway, it is certainly true that there is a lot more possibilities here than within the confines of my forum based Discussion Group. We'll see how it goes (I will keep both going for sure).
