hi sir, i am surprised to see you here. I have seen many of your movies. I'm from India. just started working as a sound recordist in features, after my film school. Hope this group will be an inspiration for those who want to be in this trade. thanks
Hi Jeff,
Many thanks for the welcome. Because of your fabulous discussion groups and RAMPS, I no longer have time to spend with my family !!!
Once I learn how to navigate around Cinemasound I'll spend even more time online and less with the missus. Another occupational hazard !!
Seriously – I've learnt so much since discovering RAMPS around 10 years ago and am amazed at how similarly we all attend to our craft around the world.
I am now in my 46th year as a sound professional and still have a great love of the craft. Just hope I can still perform for a few more years !!
Cheers,
David Glasser

Hello Jeff, yes I am right now in the Czech Republic, in Prague to be specific. I didn't even realize that film was shot here! I can imagine you didn't get to see much while on shooting, know that feeling... :)

Hiding in Nashville. I have been a lot of things over the years. Still photog, Steadicam owner/op, audio, rental house. I have enjoyed watching your cart build take place using the 8020 product. I am a hands on person, always building or designing something to make my life a little easier.

Thanks Jeff, I will try getting the drive swapped. It is a Macbook that was built around the middle of 2007. I assumed that it burnt DVD-Rs at least, but it does not.
Hi Jeff, I have a Mac question. My wife purchased a Macbook from a friend that has the regular disc drive, not the super drive. ie: it will write to CDs but not to DVDs. Can I have a Super Drive put into this Macbook or does it need to have the same platform, processing as a Macbook Pro?
Dear Jeff,
Last year Joseph Lo Duca sent me his New Orleans Collection. Within that collection was this truly asthetic piano piece "Dorothy ". It's quite possible he composed "Dorothy". He composed the music for Librarian 1,2&3 scored and composed many other films and has quite a history of Classical & Jazz ... http://www.loducamusic.com/
Sincerely
Ron
